About Think Green Solutions Think Green Solutions is a leading Ontario-based manufacturer, supplier, and installer of industrial and commercial LED lighting solutions. We partner with enterprise and multi-location customers to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient lighting projects—from product design and sourcing through logistics, installation, and post-installation support.

As we continue to scale our operations and customer footprint, we are seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize our core operational engine.

Role Overview The Director of Operations is responsible for end-to-end operational execution across product management, supply chain, logistics, installation coordination, and operational process design . This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification , while continuously improving efficiency, quality, and scalability.

This position also collaborates closely with finance and sales leadership to support forecasting, margin management, pricing inputs, and customer delivery commitments—without owning sales or finance directly.

Key Responsibilities Operations & Execution

  • Own day-to-day operational performance across manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and installation coordination
  • Translate customer contracts and sales commitments into executable operational plans
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all projects and customers
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to on-time delivery, installation timelines, quality, and cost control

Product & Supply Chain

  • Oversee product lifecycle management, including sourcing, supplier relationships, inventory planning, and quality control
  • Optimize supplier selection, lead times, and cost structures while maintaining product standards
  • Manage inventory levels to balance cash efficiency with service reliability
  • Identify opportunities to standardize SKUs and reduce operational complexity

Logistics & Installation Management

  • Lead logistics planning for multi-site and enterprise rollouts
  • Coordinate installation partners, internal crews, and external vendors
  • Develop scalable installation playbooks and SOPs
  • Proactively manage operational risks related to delays, shortages, or site constraints

Process Improvement & Scale

  • Design, document, and continuously improve SOPs across operations
  • Implement systems, tools, and workflows that support growth and operational visibility
  • Drive lean initiatives and cost-reduction strategies without sacrificing quality or service
  • Support expansion into new markets, customers, or product lines

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, margin analysis, cost controls, and operational budgeting
  • Support Sales by validating delivery timelines, feasibility, and operational inputs for proposals
  • Provide operational insights to leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop operations, logistics, and installation teams
  • Set clear performance expectations and accountability
  • Foster a culture of ownership, safety, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in operations leadership, ideally within manufacturing, lighting, construction, electrical, or industrial services
  • Proven experience managing supply chains, logistics, and field operations
  • Strong understanding of operational finance fundamentals (COGS, margins, inventory, forecasting)
  • Experience working with enterprise or multi-location customers
  • Demonstrated ability to scale operations in a growing organization
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Preferred Experience

  • LED lighting, electrical, or energy-efficiency industries
  • ERP, inventory management, or operations planning systems
  • Managing third-party installers or distributed field teams
