About the Role
Our Social Responsibility team is evolving and we’re looking for a Manager, Social Responsibility to lead the development and execution of the next chapter of the OCS Social Responsibility program. We’ve built a strong foundation of raising awareness and are ready to move towards measuring and delivering impact. In this role, you will champion responsible cannabis use and harm reduction, advance responsible retail and wholesale practices, and drive initiatives that support the OCS’ broader social responsibility mandate.
As a key facilitator of cross-functional collaboration, you will work closely with internal teams, key stakeholders and community partners to deliver an impactful and measurable social responsibility program. Leveraging your subject‑matter expertise, industry knowledge and connections you will provide guidance and leadership to ensure OCS is delivering on its social responsibility mandate.
About Your Day
- Lead the development and execution of the OCS’ social responsibility program, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities, regulatory obligations and public health objectives
- Integrate social responsibility objectives across departments to ensure cohesive execution and measurable results
- Develop evidence-based programs and campaigns that promote responsible consumption and informed consumer choices
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to promote responsible practices
- Represent OCS at industry/public forums, working groups, roundtables, and consultations for social responsibility related topics
- Oversee the development of evidence-based educational materials and initiatives that promote responsible consumption
- Partner and collaborate with experts, public health practitioners, and external agencies to ensure content and information is accurate, impartial, and accessible to diverse audiences
- Develop content, briefs, and presentations to articulate OCS’ social responsibility commitments to internal and external audiences
- Ensure all social responsibility initiatives align with legislative requirements, government directives, and public sector expectations
- Monitor social responsibility program outcomes, evaluate impact, and recommend improvements.
- Lead and coach a team to deliver impactful social responsibility initiatives
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Communications, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree in any of the above is considered an asset
- 5+ years of experience in corporate social responsibility, public health, public policy, drug policy, community engagement, or a related area
- 2+ years experience of people leadership experience
- Experience in building and leading social responsibility programs
- Experience managing relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders, vendors, consultants and/or other service providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build strong, strategic relationships with teams, departments and external vendors
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, and changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills, including experience briefing senior leadership and Boards of Directors
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- including Excel, Power-Point, Share-Point, Teams and One-Drive
About the Job
- Hours of Work: 36.25 a week
- Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract – 12 Months
- Required Travel: Rare, usually within the GTA
Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000. This is a pay grade 7 role, with a salary range of $82,623.96 - $123,507.59. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.

The Ontario Cannabis Store is a Crown agency solely owned by the Province of Ontario and reporting to the Ministry of Finance.
The OCS provides safe, responsible access to legal recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older. We are Ontario’s sole wholesaler to more than 1,500 Authorized Cannabis Stores. The OCS also operates OCS.ca, the Province’s online cannabis retailer which delivers to consumers in every corner of Ontario.
We make sure our customers only receive legal, clearly labelled cannabis products by working closely with a diverse group of Licensed Producers authorized by Health Canada. Our online store prioritizes education and provides many opportunities for both new and experienced consumers to learn more about cannabis and responsible use.
Our customer-care centre is staffed by knowledgeable, helpful product specialists who provide the information our customers need to make the right choices. Social responsibility is something we take seriously and making every purchase a responsible one is a top priority.
