Position Overview:

Finning is seeking a Gas Compression Technician who will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of Caterpillar equipment, in a service-oriented environment.

Location: Edson, Alberta (must be a resident)
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Logistics: Tooled company truck supplied

Job Description:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment in a service oriented gas compression environment

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
  • Gas Compression and Well Servicing experience
  • Power Systems experience, must be capable and confident troubleshooting mechanically governed fuel delivery systems
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Completion, or in the process of completing all Finning S- level courses
  • Self-motivated and computer literate
  • Experience with SIS and Warranty Systems as well as a good understanding of Finning systems, would all be assets
  • Successful candidate will need to be customer orientated and motivated to meet the customer's expectations
  • Ability to work safely with minimal supervision
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment

Note:

  • Must be able/willing to travel to customer sites in the greater Edson Area
  • Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Please be advised the successful candidate for this position will reside in Edson, Alberta.
