Position Overview:
As a Yard Keeper at OEM Remanufacturing you will be responsible for the organization and movement of materials within the yard surrounding the facility. Drawing on your previous forklift experience, you will safely operate equipment to facilitate the movement of materials.

Job Description:
- Loading and unloading incoming/outgoing trucks
- Organizing items kept in the yard, ensuring storage in a neat and orderly fashion
- Moving material throughout the yard and effectively maintaining accurate material movement data in the electronic business system
- Ensuring scrap and waste bins are ready for pick up on scheduled days
- Retrieving, tracking and organizing stands
- Managing the shipping stand process, including locating and retrieving stands, and administering the stand auditing and robbing processes
- Working with suppliers to coordinate pick up of waste chemicals and drop off of empty barrels
- Maintaining and operating the large outdoor forklift (capacity of 33,000 lbs.)
- Developing a basic working knowledge of the Paint & Package and Shipping department functions, in order to support those departments as necessary
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 1 or higher. Relevant & applicable external experience to the position will alternatively be considered
- Previous forklift experience is preferred
- Experience in Manufacturing industry is preferred
- Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively
- Strong communication, attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and good time management skills
- Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures
Note:
- This posting is for a static day shift scheduled Monday - Thursday; 10 hours per day
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

- Hourly Rate: $24.72 - $35.02 / Hour
