We are an international, multilingual team with flat hierarchies. Our teams work with a high degree of independence, both from Montreal and Ottawa, as well as remotely.

We are looking for a part-time People & Culture Generalist to join our team in Canada (preferably in Ottawa), working up to 20 hours per week. This is a hands-on generalist role that will be critical in supporting our Canadian operations and ensuring a seamless employee experience.

Your Tasks:

  • Process Development and Optimization: Drive the establishment and continuous improvement of global HR processes, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and providing seamless support to our Canadian locations.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Manage the full employee lifecycle for Canadian staff, including drafting employment contracts, overseeing onboarding and offboarding processes, and processing leaves of absence. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate digital personnel files in our HRIS and ensuring all processes align with Canadian labor laws, with a specific focus on Ontario and Quebec.
  • Recruitment & Offboarding: Assist with creating job postings, setting up onboarding and offboarding processes in Personio, and conducting termination meetings and exit interviews.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Support payroll administration, including registering new employees with benefits and authorities, reporting absences and salary changes, and processing final payments for leavers.
  • Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for Canadian employees, offering a listening ear and gathering feedback.
  • Key contact for the IT team: Ensure a smooth technical setup for all new hires and a seamless offboarding process for departing employees.

Your Profile:

  • Education & Experience: You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in an HR management or generalist role, preferably in an international setting. Experience with payroll administration is essential.
  • Knowledge & Skills: You possess extensive knowledge of employment legislation in Ontario and Quebec and are fluent in both English and French (oral and written). Experience with Personio and Google Workspace is a strong asset.
  • Key Competencies: You are a detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You thrive on taking initiative and can work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic, international team. Training in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion is an asset.
