Are you an experienced travel professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for customer service? The Department of Highways and Public Works is seeking a Travel Service Supervisor to lead a small, dedicated team responsible for coordinating travel services across the Yukon. This includes booking all Yukon Government travel, as well as managing medical travel for Yukoners accessing out-of-territory care.

As a key member of our team, you will oversee day-to-day operations, work closely with vendors and service providers, and ensure a high standard of service delivery in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Experience supervising or leading staff in customer service or administrative settings
  • Significant experience in delivering high-quality customer service, including coordinating complex travel using industry-standard booking systems (e.g., Travelport, Travelport+)
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including managing multiple programs and maintaining accurate records
  • Experience working with vendors or third-party service providers
  • Education or training in travel, tourism, or hospitality is considered an asset

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications, skills and knowledge, but also demonstrate suitability for the role and organizational culture. Key competencies for success in this role include:

  • Proven leadership and customer service skills in fast-paced, service-oriented environments, with the ability to resolve issues professionally

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure

  • Adaptability and initiative when working both independently and collaboratively in changing environments

  • Willingness to learn and grow, with education or training in travel, tourism, or hospitality considered an asset

Conditions of Employment

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

  • class 5 driver's license or equivalent
