Your Opportunity:

Primary Care Alberta is seeking a dedicated and skilled Administrative Support III (Admin 3) to join our Family Medicine Clinic at the Kaye Edmonton Clinic. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy family medicine practice led by academic physicians who provide comprehensive and complex primary care services. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, registered nurses, and medical office assistants, supporting a high functioning Connect Care clinic known for delivering exceptional patient care. The Administrative Support III plays a vital role in clinic operations and patient flow, including providing advanced administrative support to physicians, nurses, and medical office assistants. Managing patient scheduling, referral coordination, and appointment bookings within Connect Care. Supporting complex patient appointment needs through strong critical thinking and problem-solving. Answering phones, managing inbox tasks, and coordinating patient communications. Assisting with patient flow, documentation, and internal daily workflow tasks. Ensuring smooth clinic workflow and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to prioritize patient needs. Upholding high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient experience. Full proficiency in English, speaking, reading and writing.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of a formal Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program. Minimum 2 years of experience in a family medicine setting required. Demonstrated experience working directly with family physicians, including managing referrals. Booking comprehensive and complex patient appointments. Supporting clinic schedules and physician workflows. Strong critical thinking skills to support complex appointment planning and administrative decision-making. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain flexible in a fast-paced clinic environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively within a clinic team. Proficiency with Connect Care required. Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including walking, bending, twisting. Sitting for extended periods while answering phones and performing administrative tasks. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Align with the Mission, Vision and Values of Primary Care Alberta.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who have the combined educational and family medicine experience requirements. Able to be flexible and willing to learn, grow and collaborate within the clinic based on daily needs. Personable, kind and excellent problem solving. Able to work in a team based environment.
