Position Summary

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing customers while actively pursuing new business opportunities within an assigned geographic territory. This role focuses on building long-term customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering exceptional service and technical solutions that support customer success.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to customers and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and achievement of sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain current sales accounts and actively pursue new business within a specified geographical territory, while providing top quality customer service Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to new developments in the customer's business Manage customer’s account including quotes, contract pricing, contract terms, warranties and delivery dates of product and service offered Coordinate with the technical department, order desk, warehouse, and general sales to provide product specific training Contribute to overall success of the company Actively contribute to team environment Promote Intercity within the community

Working Conditions

Primarily office and field-based role within a computerized environment. Regular travel throughout the assigned territory is required. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary. Hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on customer needs and business demands.

Qualifications and Experience

Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in direct sales, account management, or business development. Experience within industrial distribution, construction, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), safety products, tools, fasteners, or related industries is preferred. Strong understanding of consultative selling and relationship management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
