  • Promote DevOps/SRE practices by integrating observability, monitoring, and reliability into database operations.
  • Identify and implement performance tuning opportunities to improve database efficiency and cost optimization.

Collaboration & Strategic Support:

  • Work closely with the DB manager to align database operations with business and IT strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with system admins, SREs, developers, and infrastructure teams.
  • Act as a liaison during audits, ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and best practice standards.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and workload planning for DBA team members.

  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Dynatrace).
  • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles applied to database environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
