We are recruiting for a Directors Administrative Assistant Student to provide administrative research and special project support for our Directors Team within Empower Simcoe. This is a full-time position starting as soon as April 20, 2026, for approximately 4-5 months. This position works up to 37.5 hours biweekly with an hourly rate of pay of $21.43. Please note that this position is contingent upon funding approval through the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs program.
Minimumrequirements of this position include:
- Completion of secondary school and enrolled in post-secondary education in Office Administration, Marketing Business, graphicdesignor other closely related fields of education
- Some office experience, experience in graphic design is an asset
- A valid class G driver's license and reliable transportation is an asset
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, with proven research abilities, must have intermediate skillsutilizingMicrosoft office Word,Exceland PowerPoint
Overview of Duties (including, but not limited to):
- Providing administrative support to the executive office which includes working on Board Governance policies, creating presentations, preparing Board packages
- Preparing, photocopying, and filing letters
- Supporting special projects as assigned which require research to produce reports
- Providing relief receptionist duties which includemaintainingbuilding security by ensuring entry/exit doors are unlocked and locked at the start and end of each business day
- Performing daily fire and health and safety checks when covering reception
- Greeting guests, ensuring sign in and guests are provided with visitor identification
- Assistingwith projects as assigned by the Executive Assistant and Corporate Communications Manager.
