Job Description
Cook : Permanent - Part Time Breakfast Cook. Do you love to cook? Reporting to the Manager of Food Services, Breakfast Cook provides support to the preparation, serving and clean up associated with all meal services in the Residence/Home. Hours : 7 hr/day ,minimum 28 hr/ bi-weekly ( hours may increase upon availability ) Timings : 5:30 am to 1 pm Schedule : Every Friday and every other weekend (other days as require) (Week 1 : Friday , Saturday , Sunday ; Week 2: Friday)
Qualifications
Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage Must be able to acquire food safety certification Demonstrate basic math and counting skills Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal Experience as a cook or in a related role required
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/orJob Responsibilities Able to perform duties assigned by Nutrition Manager Must have leadership ability and be able to direct the dietary department in the absence of the Nutrition Manager of Dietary Services. Current Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Vulnerable Screening Sector Check( or willing to apply) Experience in large quantity food preparation, preferably in a health care or long term care setting.
