Essential Functions and Purpose:
Principal Responsibilities:

  • Move and organize heavy-duty trucks (Class 1, 6, 7, 8) around the lot and into service bays as directed
  • Maintain a clean and organized lot, including snow removal, debris pickup, and sweeping
  • Perform visual inspections on incoming and outgoing vehicles for damage or cleanliness
  • Wash and detail trucks before customer pickup or after service
  • Assist with vehicle intake and staging for service appointments
  • Fuel units, check fluid levels, and top up as needed
  • Support parts and service staff by delivering vehicles or picking up supplies
  • Ensure all vehicles are secured, tagged, and parked according to dealership standards
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures when operating or working around large commercial vehicles
  • Communicate clearly with service writers, technicians, and shop foremen

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License preferred (or Class 5 with willingness to obtain Class 1)
  • Experience operating heavy-duty or commercial vehicles safely in a yard or service environment
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors year-round and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong safety mindset and situational awareness around moving equipment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Experience working in a dealership, transportation, or fleet setting is an asset
