As a collaborative member of the Network Security team, the Information Security Administrator II is responsible for day-to-day security operations, support, administration and maintenance of the security and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration and implementation of firewalls and supporting infrastructure
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve issues
- Develop and improve deployment and operations support documentation
- Assist with security incidents, investigations and root-cause analysis
- Ensure timely patching and updates of security tools and systems.
- Support the deployment and integration of new security technologies.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
- Partner with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure system implementations.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on security best practices.
- Participate in security awareness and training initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of security configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
Skills & Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in networking and security.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or comparable work experience.

Administration experience with next-generation firewalls.
-
Able to multitask and deliver on multiple projects efficiently.
-
ISC2 Security Certifications are beneficial.
-
Palo-Alto experience or certifications are beneficial.
-
In-depth understanding of cyber security concepts
-
Strong troubleshooting skills
-
Working knowledge of some or all of the following considered an asset:
-
Web filtering, IPS, VPN solutions, application concepts (layer 7)
-
Intermediate level of experience working in a Window and Linux environment

Experience working with scripting and automation
