About the role
POSITION OVERVIEW Integra designs, builds, and delivers complete data center solutions, including modular data centers, full-scale construction, and integrated power and cooling infrastructure.
The Senior Controls Engineer is a technical leader responsible for the architecture, design, and optimization of advanced control systems that support Integra’s mission-critical data center products and solutions. This role serves as a subject matter expert in controls engineering, providing technical direction, mentorship, and oversight to ensure control systems meet performance, safety, reliability, and scalability requirements across complex data center environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the design and development of complex control systems supporting data center power, cooling, and infrastructure solutions

Define, review, and approve control system architectures, standards, and design documentation

Serve as a technical authority for controls engineering, providing guidance and escalation support for complex technical challenges

Lead and support field activities including installation, testing, commissioning, and system validation
-
Collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Services, and Quality teams to ensure seamless system integration
-
Mentor and support Controls EITs and Design Engineers through technical reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing
-
Evaluate system performance, reliability, and risks to drive continuous improvement and innovation
-
Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and internal engineering requirements
-
Support project execution by aligning technical solutions with schedule, scope, and customer requirements
-
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced technical expertise in controls engineering and automation systems

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Ability to lead technical discussions and influence engineering decisions

Effective communication skills with cross-functional and customer-facing teams

Proven ability to manage complex technical challenges in fast-paced environment
WORK EXPERIENCE
-
7+ years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or related discipline
-
Proven experience leading complex or large-scale engineering projects
-
Prior experience providing technical leadership or mentorship preferred
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline required
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
-
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Relevant safety, automation, or industry certifications a plus
