About Scrawlr

Scrawlr is a company building a software platform and series of products dedicated to enabling alternative forms of communication layered on existing internet content, together with delivering superior monetization flexibility and content ownership for content generators. We have recently completed our internal beta and are preparing for our external beta. We are looking forward to bringing on additional like-minded individuals to assist in product launch. The founder, board of directors, and lead investors in Scrawlr have a strong background in a variety of successful, transformational startups, and we are building our platform alongside a number of other startups within a successful ecosystem.

Responsibilities

As a Business Operations Associate, you will perform analysis, generate work-product and plans, and manage the implementation of those plans and activities. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Assisting the executive team in planning and executing operational and strategic initiatives, including supporting external beta and launch activities
  • Developing and implementing targeted user acquisition strategies in order to grow Scrawlr’s business
  • Manage operational data, track KPIs, and provide insights to guide strategic decisions.
  • Streamline operations by supporting and improving business processes to enhance efficiency and scalability across departments
  • Identify and implement process enhancements, automation opportunities, and best practices

Required Background, Skills, and Experience

  • An undergraduate degree or a business diploma.

  • Excellent analytical reasoning, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills, as evidenced by exceptional academic performance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate

    effectively across all levels of an organization, as evidenced by a strongly drafted cover letter referencing a relevant story of the strength of your communication skills

  • Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, compiling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations

  • Strong work ethic and personal initiative

Nice to Have Skills or Experience

  • Project management experience
  • Two years of relevant work experience focused in the execution of business operations or management tasks
  • Experience with development or registration of intellectual property
  • Experience developing targeted approaches to traffic development, engagement management, and growth execution (including content development, distribution, and measurement)

$62,000 - $85,000 (CAD) per annum plus an options grant commensurate with capacity for contribution to the team
