<p>Galaxy Plastics is looking for a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver (WSR) to fill a vacant position.</p><p>Galaxy Plastics was established in 1990, finding its roots in supplying fabricated fittings for the hydro and telephone industry to a small regional market. Over the years Galaxy Plastics expanded its manufacturing capabilities to become a leader in the water and wastewater field for fabricated Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) fittings.</p><p>As a WSR, you will manage the flow of goods in and out of a warehouse. For instance, you monitor the incoming goods and ensure they are properly stored. If you see yourself playing a pivotal role in shaping the success narrative of Galaxy Plastics, this is the position for you!</p><p>Join us on our journey of innovation and drive to make meaningful change within Galaxy Plastics and beyond.</p><p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer.</p></li><li><p>Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions</p></li><li><p>Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances</p></li><li><p>Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods</p></li><li><p>Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas</p></li><li><p>Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems</p></li><li><p>May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a clean working area: keeping the shipping and receiving area clean is crucial since you receive and ship items throughout the day. A clean area ensures safety and improves work efficiency. You also reduce accidents by keeping surfaces clean.</p></li><li><p>As a shipper/receiver, you work a full-time work schedule or operate in shifts, depending on the frequency of incoming and outgoing items.</p></li><li><p>Required to follow all safety requirements, company procedures and protocols.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Handling material manually and/or with required equipment.</p></li><li><p>Standing, sitting, pacing, and walking.</p></li><li><p>Bending or twisting the body.</p></li><li><p>Making repetitive motions.</p></li><li><p>Able to lift and/or move a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly.<strong> </strong></p></li></ul><p><strong>Additional:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Participate in and further the Company?s health & safety program.</p></li><li><p>Report equipment malfunctions immediately.</p></li><li><p>Report quality deficiencies immediately.</p></li><li><p>Offer suggestions for process improvement.</p></li><li><p>Other duties that are assigned and maybe required.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Must have a valid forklift license.</p></li><li><p>Minimum 2 years of experience.</p></li><li><p>Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.</p></li><li><p>Strong mathematical and numerical skills.</p></li><li><p>Able to use MS Office applications, such as excel.</p></li><li><p>Maybe required to work overtime, weekends, and statutory holidays, occasionally.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Shift:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and statutory holiday shifts.</p></li><li><p>Must have availability from 7:30am to 5pm, as overtime maybe requir
