About the role
What You’ll Do If you’re hands-on, enjoy problem-solving, and like working with electrical systems, this role is for you. As a Control Panel Tester , you'll help build, wire, and test electrical panels that power our equipment. You'll also work closely with Engineering and other departments to support new product development and keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Assemble, wire, and test control panels using hand and power tools
- Perform point-to-point wiring checks and final product testing
- Document test results and support quality assurance procedures
- Assist in product development by installing and testing electrical components
- Support electrical maintenance of production equipment when needed
- Follow safety protocols, electrical codes, and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S)
- Report stock shortages, quality concerns, or equipment issues to your Supervisor
- Participate in team training, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and thrives in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Technician or Technologist diploma (required)
- 1–3 years of experience in panel building, electrical testing, or manufacturing (preferred)
- Solid understanding of electrical safety, PLCs, relay logic, and schematic reading
- Hands-on experience with tools, soldering, and electrical test equipment
- Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Comfortable working at heights and using lifts (certifications are a plus)
- Forklift license is an asset
