Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 6:30 am – 3:00pm (40hrs per week)
**Work Term:**Summer 2026 (4 Months: May - Aug)
Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices.**The hourly pay range for this position is $22.70 - $36.40.**Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.
Join Our Team as a Lean Performance Systems (LPS) Assistant - Day Shift**(Co-op)!**
The Lean Performance Systems Assistant is responsible for analyzing current processes through time studies and continuous improvement activities to identify waste and driver operational efficiencies. They support the development of standard work, aid in various initiatives, and help implement improvement actions by working closely with teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct time studies.
- Analyze current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Understand and help with the standard work method development.
- Support in the 5S blitzes and prepare documents.
- Support in the Kaizen activities and standard work
- Contribute to the culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Support identifying wastes and implementing process improvements.
- Implement improvement actions by supporting the change in the teams.
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll Need To Succeed:
- Pursuing an Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering Diploma/Degree or related field in a post-secondary institution.
- Is registered in a co-op program, and is eligible to work the Summer 2026 term (May - Aug).
- Has strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Has programming and analytical skills.
- Is detail-oriented.
- Has good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Physical Effort:
Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.
Work Environment:
Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
