Job DescriptionHost (Seasonal Part Time until January 2, 2027) As a Host/Hostess with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention will provide a memorable first impression for guests of our restaurants and lounges, making them feel welcome and valued. Together, let’s turn moments into memories.What you will be doing:Provide warm greeting and welcome all guests to the restaurantObtain dining information from guests, such as dietary restrictions or special occasionsCoordinate the dining room's seating arrangements by planning ahead and anticipating fluctuations in businessSeat guests in an organized fashion to maintain service flows for the ServersAdhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiativesConduct frequent inspections of the outlet areas, reporting any deficiencies in equipment or aesthetics to the Outlet ManagerOther duties as outlined by outlet Manager including coverage in other F&B outlets and BanquetsEnsure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiativesAdhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiativesCarry out any other tasks as assignedPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and rampsQualificationsYour experience and skills include:Minimum 6 months food and beverage experienceSelf‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisionsDemonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to maintain high service levels under pressurePhysically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
