Summary Of Duties

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre has an exciting opportunity for a PAA in Outpatient Care as a member of the team in the Peter Cipriano Centre for Seniors Health. This position is patient facing and provides administrative supports to clinical team across the Cipriano Centre.

Summary Of Duties

Provide PAA support across the Cipriano Centre Coordination of all administrative and clerical activities within the department Respond to incoming phone calls and monitor department email box, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel/area, greeting patients on arrival Support patient care- registration and updating of patient information, scheduling appointments, reminder phone calls, chart preparation, processing orders and ordering tests, arranging follow ups, filing/scanning documents, documenting patient communication in EMR, processing community pharmacy refill requests, post visit exam room restock, and work with task manager system Manage no shows and cancellation list Supporting patients/caregivers to complete surveys and/or documents Supporting Interprofessional team with staff schedule and government forms for patient Tracking stats across the services Ordering supplies and restocking unit Assisting with projects, arranging meetings, and taking meeting minutes Payroll duties as required Be a role model for exemplary senior friendly care and promote senior friendly care principles Other administrative duties as required

Qualifications/Skills

Completion of Medical Office Administration program or the equivalent combination of education and experience Two years of Administrative/Business experience required, in a health care setting preferred Experience with VHS, QuadraMed, Sunnycare, BMS, Outlook, MS Office, Dimensions and Zoom Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills Proven ability to respond effectively in a stressful situations Excellent problem solving skills, ability to deal with conflict and communicate appropriately with patients, families and staff Effective time management skills and ability to multitask is essential Demonstrated Patient-Focused Care/Customer Service behavior Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast- paced environment Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated understanding and ability to work in an inter-professional team Keyboarding at 40 net w.p.m minute Demonstrated satisfactory attendance and punctuality required Enjoys working with the senior patient population
