Requirements
Complete opening and closing procedures of Le Cafe Kitchen, as set out by departments standard operating procedures (SOP's)
Assist with the transportation of all food products, be sure it is packed and stacked in accordance to Kitchen Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s
Prepare and cook food products ensuring proper techniques are followed
Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus, products, cooking process, ingredients and potential relevant allergies
Dispense and serve prepared food items to guests
Follow up with management prior to shift regarding special functions or events for the day
Participate in departmental skills training as required
Assist the Chefs and Cooks with other designated duties within the job classification
Adhere to all Company policies and departmental procedures and the Collective Agreement
Qualifications
A relevant college diploma or university degree in culinary arts, cook’s trade certification or equivalent is preferred
Completion of a secondary school diploma is required
Valid Food Handler’s Certificate preferred
One (1) - three (3) years of related quick service experience is an asset
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Working Conditions
Interacts with employees, management and the public at large.
Department uniforms are provided to protect personal clothing from wear and damage. Approved uniforms are to be worn during working hours. Dress codes are in effect as per the standard policy and procedure.
Must be able to work in a physical capacity requiring lifting, pushing and pulling, bending and reaching.
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of the day.
Excellent guest services skills with an ability to recommend the CN Tower products.
Flexible to work rotating shifts, which includes but is not limited to evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
Noisy and fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Rate of Pay: $21.42 - 100% of the rate
