About the role

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Ontario Sales Manager, LG, the Territory Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned geographic area by developing strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and executing strategic sales plans. The Territory Manager will manage existing accounts, prospect for new customers, analyze market trends, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure targets are met and customer satisfaction is maintained. The territory for this positon is Central, Ontario.

Key Accountabilities:

1.      Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets by developing and executing strategic territory plans.

2.      Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive retention, satisfaction, and repeat business.

3.      Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, market analysis, and competitive positioning.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts to increase retention and revenue.
  • Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the territory.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and leadership teams to support territory growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration or another related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the sale of building materials products through the retailer network
  • Knowledge/experience in the construction sector
  • Must be able to present a value proposition and overcome price discussions/negotiations

Compentencies required:

  • Ability to execute key deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem solving and good judgment skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems/programs
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage time
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide solutions to customer needs in a win-win manner
