Mentor Match is a one-day event created to connect aspiring entrepreneurs and young professionals with experienced leaders from various industries. Our mission is to create awareness of the power of mentorship and its impact on career development. The event is proudly hosted by Future Achievers in partnership with the Durham Region Association of Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs (DRABPE) , and is generously sponsored by the Black Student Engagement (B.S.E.) at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus .
What You'll Do
As a Volunteer Mentor, you will participate in a structured series of short one-on-one conversations and guide aspiring professionals.
- Share Your Story: Briefly introduce yourself, your professional background, and your career journey.
- Offer Guidance: Listen to the mentee's career goals and challenges, and offer a quick piece of advice or a key insight.
- Make a Connection: Find common ground to identify if there's potential for a future mentorship relationship.
