Part Time Dietary Server
(3 Part-Time Positions Open)
Part Time: Permanent
Current Status: Vacant
Hourly Wage to Start: $19.62
Location: Oshawa, ON
Start Date: ASAP
Hours of Work:
1st PT, approx 32 hours bi-weekly 7am-230pm x 2 and 4pm-8p x 4 shifts Every other weekend off;
2nd PT, approx 24 hours bi-weekly 4pm-8p x 6 shifts Every other weekend off;
3rd PT, approx 24 hours bi-weekly 4pm-8pm x 6 shifts Every other weekend off

Requirements:
- Smart Serve Certified
- Previous dining services experience
Qualifications:
- Exhibits a caring, nurturing attitude while demonstrating a true concern for the residents that they serve.
- Possess the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Positive, "Can-do Attitude".
- Able to accept direction well from supervisor
- Have a desire to make a difference in the lives of older adults each day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Task-oriented individual
- Collaborative, team player
- Serving experience is an asset, as well as experience working with older adults
Responsibilities:
- The dietary server is responsible for ensuring that all mealtimes are a pleasant dining experience on a consistent basis for the resident and their families.
- To ensure that services are delivered in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Maintain confidentiality of all facility information.
- Assist with preparation and set up of dining rooms for meal service, take resident meal orders and serve meals.
- Cleaning duties as required
- Ability to prepare beverages, muffins & lunch items on the menu.
- Assist the Food Supervisor and provides updates on any concerns.
- Maintains a clean and neat work area ensuring that they are following scheduled cleaning tasks.
