What Is the Opportunity?
Supports the Head Office Surety department Bond administration, Head Office Surety clients, US Bond branch fronting and broker administration in accordance with the requirements of an agreed business plan.

Assists Bond Administrators with the renewal and new business activities that support marketing and underwriting decisions that are consistent with business unit growth and retention goals. Assures all related support activities are delivered in a manner consistent with business unit customer service and expense management focus.

Partners with Bond Administrators to establish support needs for Head Office Surety team. Provides administrative support duties for members of the Bond office including expenses, presentations, and other related duties. Produces letters, forms and reports for departments/teams as required.

Provides administrative support and communicates with brokers/agencies, Canadian underwriters, US underwriters, and internal departments (i.e., maintains authority reports, researches and resolves issues, responds to inquiries and questions).

Provides support for Broker Administration in the issuance of Broker documents including Seal Agreements, Power of Attorney and quarterly reports. Issues Bond Logs for Canadian and US Bond Numbers.

Ensures accurate and timely servicing and billing of accounts. Manages outstanding account information and prepares general correspondence as needed. Manages account documentation (i.e., bonds, endorsements, cancellations, etc.).

Works with Accounting in collecting outstanding premium from US Branches, US agents and Canadian Brokers. Prepares documentation for monthly accounts receivables reports.

Follow-up of outstanding account information, general correspondence as needed.

Prepare and submit expense reports, responsible for travel arrangements.

Participates in business units’ staff meetings.

Manages calendars and scheduling/assist with coordinating of annual conferences and internal/external meetings.

Assists with marketing responsibilities with the coordinating of product line sponsorships, memberships, donations, promotional items, print media and organizing company sponsored events, sports tickets.
What is a Must Have?
- High School education or equivalent
- 5 years of administrative experience
- Advanced skill level required for software applications, including advanced database queries, Excel spreadsheets
