PEC715 – Pharmacoeconomics

We welcome applications for part-time teaching opportunities. Course assignments are based on scheduling and instructional needs. Contract faculty typically teach up to 6 hours per week, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm.
While some courses may be offered online or in a hybrid format, availability for on-campus teaching is often preferred.

Responsible for providing academic leadership in the classroom and ensuring an effective and compelling learning environment for students. You will…
- Ensure student awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques.
- Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, which may include tutoring and academic counselling of students.
- Provide a learning environment that makes effective use of available resources, work experience and field trips.
- Evaluate student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the student's work within assigned courses.
What you bring to Seneca
- Minimum of a completed bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, life sciences or closely related discipline. Master’s or post graduate certificate preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in any pharmacoeconomics, health economics, market access, or regulatory affairs,(or other closely related experience) with practical involvement in activities such as:
- Conducting pharmacoeconomic evaluations (e.g., cost-effectiveness, cost-utility)
- Preparing drug reimbursement or formulary submissions
- Collaborating with CADTH, Health Canada, or provincial drug programs
Skills
- Strong understanding of pharmacoeconomics and drug pricing models
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in training or teaching fundamentals of your area(s) of expertise.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with the Polytechnics’ diverse staff and student population is required, as is an understanding of and commitment to equity in education.
- Commitment to a team approach for problem solving and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated research skills.
