Position Summary
We are looking for a Sales Intern to join our team from May to August 2026. This role is an hybrid role that will provide you with both retail sales field experience and customer development experience within the sales organization. During May and June, you will engage in full-time work in the field within the Greater Toronto Area, where your responsibilities will include selling and interacting directly with store-level customers. In July and August, your work will shift to the Brampton office for three days a week, with two days spent working from home. During this period, you will collaborate with one of our Account Teams.

A Day in the Life of a Sales Intern
For the first half of your internship as a Retail Sales Intern, you will work on a variety of initiatives for different retail accounts and product categories. This role offers the opportunity to manage relationships with retail stores, achieve sales objectives, and present your territory's results to Senior Leadership. In the second half of your internship with the Customer Development team, you'll be provided with many opportunities to support the customer development team across categories aimed at maximizing the visibility and profitability of Nestle's products. This role will provide an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to gain experience across multiple projects within the customer development team.

You will also:

  • Execute all in store priorities within the framework of Nestle’s planification process
  • Manage a variety of stores within a territory with the objective to build and develop both Nestlé’s and the customer’s business across all categories.
  • Plan and direct the achievement of volume and profit targets within your territory using effective merchandising, promotions, and selling skills.
  • Work with our sales operations team to develop actionable high value selling stories.
  • Assist with analytics, reporting, and various special projects for a customer account team.
  • Gain exposure to front line account experiences (merchandising, building rapport with various Nestlé clients, etc.).
  • Present your findings in front of an audience (Manager, Senior Leaders..)

What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate, you will be a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal skills coupled with experience working cross-functionally with sales and marketing. You will have proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to gain insights and develop recommendations. You will need to be results focused, detail oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment managing several complex priorities.

Also, you are/have:

  • Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year University degree program (BA or Business Administration)
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 and above is considered an asset.
  • Previous Sales experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
  • The ability to build great relationships with internal stakeholders from various backgrounds and work collaboratively on multiple projects.
  • Able to showcase excellent communication and organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate to build and grow brands and business, with ‘can-do’ attitude, and a willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Involved in extracurricular activities, which demonstrate initiative and leadership.
  • Self-motivated, results focused, agile, innovative, and intellectually curious.
  • Fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, challenging environment.
  • A results and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Proof of valid G class driver’s license is required, and access to a personal vehicle is strongly preferred. You will be compensated for business mileage.
