YOUR ROLE As a Renewals Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering timely, accurate, and competitive renewal proposals for group plans each quarter—both individually and within larger blocks. Your responsibilities will include validating data inputs, ensuring block-level renewal targets are met, and preparing precise and professional renewal packages. You’ll collaborate closely with internal partners, respond to inquiries with clarity and confidence, and liaise with insurers when needed to support seamless execution. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to stakeholder communication. This is a hybrid opportunity out of our Surrey, BC office or can be a remote opportunity within Canada.

- Grasp range of blocks, sponsoring associations and their unique requirements
- Understand full renewal process
Next 30 days
- Understand sources of data and any limitations
- Become comfortable with the renewal packages produced and how to assess their accuracy and appropriateness
Next 30 days
- Master MIRA renewal process
Next 90 days:
- Follow general approaches to adjusting renewals to meet block requirements
- Become adept at responding to partner requests and working with insurers for adjustments to renewals and alternates
YOUR IMPACT
- Review MIRA renewals for accuracy and appropriateness
- Adjust MIRA renewals as required to meet individual appropriateness and block targets
- Analyze aggregate renewal actions within a block to ensure targets are met
- Review renewal packages for accuracy
- Analyze experience and situation for specific groups to justify and explain the rate action
- Respond to partners’ questions and explain renewals and, as necessary, adjust renewals with team lead or approach and negotiate with insurance partners changes as needed
- Produce renewal summary and detailed reports as required internally, by partners and by insurers
- Process acceptances of renewal rates and ensure that information is distributed as required
- Adjust or check changes in parameters within MIRA to ensure that MIRA’s renewals reflect individual, block or insurer requirements
- Look at ways to improve processes
- Use and understanding of CRM in daily operations
- Take on Ad-hoc projects as required
THIS IS YOU
- Post secondary education with a concentration in mathematics, economics, statistics or computer science (or similar)
- Math reasoning; facility, comfort with, and feeling for, numbers
- Analytical skills (in particular, Excel Skills)
- Attention to detail
- Adapt and learn quickly
- Team player
- Superior communication and explaining skills
- High work ethics/integrity

Your Compensation At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary pay range for this position is $50,000-$55,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
