We are looking to hire a Foreman, Instrumentation for Kitimat, B.C. working on the LNGC project, on-site.
The Foreman provides on-site leadership and supervision to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, coordinating crews, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and supporting team development and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide daily supervision and direction to crew members, ensuring safe, productive, and high-quality work practices.
- Facilitate daily safety and pre-shift meetings.
- Assemble and organize job site offices, equipment, and materials as required.
- Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.
- Enforce compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company safety policies, and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site and office space.
- Coordinate and schedule workforce shifts to meet project and client needs.
- Interface with client stakeholders, including Maintenance team leads, and manage daily work notifications through SAP.
- Collaborate with the Instrumentation craft team to plan and execute daily work activities.
- Assign tasks, communicate expectations, and monitor crew performance to ensure productivity and morale.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Apprentices and Journeypersons.
- Identify, address, and resolve any crew issues or conflicts promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify safety and quality compliance.
- Support commissioning, shutdown, and turnaround activities as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS**:**
- 7 + years as a qualified tradesperson in an industrial environment, preferably in oil & gas.
- 2 + years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Must have a team first focus and work well in group settings.
- Ability to deal with difficult people and or situations with a calm and focused demeanor.
- Must have organizational skills and the ability to problem solve.
- Required to hold a valid Red Seal Journeyperson Instrumentation and Control Technician certification (or equivalent recognized in B.C.).
