About the role

Position: Elders Coordinator (https://secure.collage.co/recruiting/positions/23919)

Department: Human Services

Hours: up to 35 hours per week

Wage: starting pay is up to $25 per hours

Start: ASAP

Job Summary

Reporting to the Elder’s Program Manager, the Elders Coordinator is responsible for providing programs and activities in our community and to create and maintain a meal program for home care clientele.

Duties

  • To assist the health team with health promotion activities
  • To set up and deliver of programs and activities for elders
  • Assist with delivery of special community health functions
  • To coordinate the Adult Day Program & Create monthly calendars
  • To coordinate and work with the Home care program to establish a meal program
  • To prepare & coordinate with Elders luncheons
  • To coordinate fundraising activities
  • Back up for Soup Kitchen

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation,
  • Food safe
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Lower Nicola Indian Band communities
  • Must be able to work very flexible hours
  • Good role model

The Nłeʔkepmxc Tribal Council (NNTC) was established in the early 1980’s to protect and promote the title and rights of the Nłeʔkepmxc Nation, and defend and advance interests in jurisdiction and economic rights including access to the fishery and forest sources.
