What this role matters
As Pub Supervisor, you set the tone on the floor each day by driving service, supporting the team, and making sure everything runs smoothly. You lead by example, stay close to the action, and ensure every guest interaction reflects the quality and warmth of the resort. You are also a key connection between service, culinary, and leadership. You keep communication clear, solve problems before they escalate, and make sure the team feels confident and supported during every shift.
What you'll do
- Oversee daily operations in the Pub, leading service delivery and maintaining a strong, visible presence on the floor to support staff and ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Manage shift flow, labour coverage, and adapt to business needs in real time
- Ensure flawless execution of group dining and events, with clear communication of BEOs
- Work closely with the kitchen on timing, allergies, and special requests
- Address operational challenges quickly, from staffing to equipment needs
- Monitor guest interactions and handle feedback and recovery directly
- Provide real-time coaching and training to support consistency and team growth
- Lead energizing pre-shift meetings that align and motivate the team
- Stay current with POS systems, menu updates, and reporting tasks
What you'll bring
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting
- A calm, confident presence with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- A polished, guest-focused approach with an eye for detail and anticipation of guest needs
- Solid knowledge of POS systems, event flow, and BC hospitality regulations
- Proven ability to multitask, stay composed, and make smart decisions under pressure
- Clear communication, adaptability, and a spirit of hospitality
- Serving It Right certification
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
