Description What you’ll be doing

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a Booth Assistant—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing.

The YRES Booth Assistant Is Responsible For:

  • Greeting visitors
  • Conversation support
  • Taking photos
  • Helping count inventory of items that were brought
  • Providing feedback on the event
  • Arriving to the event independently

Location: Atrium and Hallway, Don Lovisa Building, 1610 Champlain Ave, Whitby, ON L1N 6A7

Date & Time: Thursday, February 12th

Shift: TBD

Who We're Looking For: ✔ Minimum age: 12

✔ Able to independently arrive to work on time

✔ Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn

✔ Can commit to scheduled time of event

✔ Fluency in English

✔ Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks

Bonus Skills: ✔ Previous experience in event planning and coordinating

✔ Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English considered an asset
