We are recruiting for a DIETITIAN (Eating Disorders Service)
- This is a regular part-time position (21 hours per week between the hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) based at 80 Waterloo Ave. Guelph with some travel to the Waterloo region as needed.
Reporting to the Manager, DBT & Eating Disorders Services, this position will promote and provide nutrition care for clients referred to the eating disorders program. Principal duties include nutrition assessment, implementation/monitoring/evaluation of nutrition plans. This position includes responsibilities related to providing expertise and education in nutrition to clients with eating disorders in both individual counselling and group formats. In this role you would be working on our adult eating disorders team delivering group based programming and working on our child and adolescent eating disorders team providing individual sessions to support parents and families. Consultation and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team is a key principle in service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Current registration and in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Graduate of a recognized program (majoring in food and nutrition) and successful completion of a dietetic internship or Master's practicum program
- Previous experience working with individuals with eating disorders
- Nutrition counselling and education skills
- Strong group facilitation skills and experience recommended
- Past experience working in pediatrics would be an asset
- Ability to work independently and respond to shifting service demands
- Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to social and cultural diversity
- Highly developed organizational, communication and problem solving skills
- Excellent computer literacy skills, proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and various database software and capable of learning new software to support service delivery
- A valid driver’s license and personal transportation as travel is required

CLASSIFICATION AND RATE OF PAY: Level 6 (OPSEU) - $36.72 to $44.76 per hour
