JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for all aspects of welding small and large weldments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-
Sets up and operates a variety of standard weldments and structures according to detailed drawings or work orders.

Uses forklifts to locate and retrieve materials as needed.
-
Operates cutting tools such as torches, saws, and drills.
-
Maintains all welding-related equipment, including welders, grinders, torches, and drills, ensuring optimal performance.
-
Reviews work orders to determine material requirements, cutting lines, dimensions, and tolerances.
-
Inspects finished pieces for defects such as chipped edges or marred surfaces, and appropriately sorts defective items based on the type of flaw.
-
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two years of manufacturing/welding experience.
Skills: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair and
maintenance. Knowledge of blueprints, drawings and models. Knowledge of mathematics. The ability
to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull and carry objects. The ability to bend, stretch, twist,
or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, forming,
positioning, and moving materials or manipulating things such as hand tools and hoist.
Requirements: Must work in a safe manner.
