This role sits within a corporate real estate services environment supporting critical facility and workplace operations across a large financial organization. You will act as a key governance and controls support resource, helping ensure that operational processes are well-structured, compliant, and effectively executed across multiple regional teams. The position plays an important role in maintaining strong control environments, supporting risk and audit readiness, and enabling smooth coordination between business, risk, and operational stakeholders. You will also contribute to the monitoring and reporting of key facility management processes, ensuring transparency and accountability across governance frameworks. This is a highly collaborative role that blends operations, risk awareness, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination. Accountabilities: In this role, you will support governance, control oversight, and operational coordination across facility management and critical services teams within a complex enterprise environment. Lead and facilitate recurring stakeholder meetings focused on governance, control reporting, and action tracking across FM and CF teams Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with operational and risk standards Monitor and assess control environments to ensure effective design, implementation, and ongoing compliance Coordinate the execution of key processes such as structural due diligence, seismic risk assessments, and building operational review programs Support governance reporting and analytics using operational data sources and system reports (e.g., REALM, TechFace) Act as a key liaison between regional teams, risk functions, and subject matter experts to resolve governance and process-related inquiries Assist with audit, risk, and control assessment activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete deliverables Support administrative oversight of governance tools, workflows, and issue management systems, acting as a subject matter resource when needed Requirements: The ideal candidate brings operational experience within banking, corporate services, or technology environments, with strong analytical ability and a detail-oriented mindset. 3+ years of experience in operations, governance, risk, or technology-related roles, ideally within a large or cross-functional organization Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; background in engineering or real estate management is an asset Strong understanding of operational governance, control frameworks, or risk management principles Experience working with large datasets, reports, and operational systems with strong analytical capability Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and reporting-related applications Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse teams Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively High attention to detail, strong follow-up discipline, and a structured, process-oriented mindset Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a matrixed environment Prior experience in banking operations or risk environments is considered an advantage Benefits: Competitive hourly compensation aligned with experience level (remote contract role) 100% remote work arrangement within Canada Exposure to a large-scale, global financial operations environment Opportunity to work on governance, risk, and control frameworks in a critical infrastructure domain Collaboration with cross-functional teams across operations, risk, and facilities management Professional experience within a highly structured and regulated environment Potential for long-term engagement depending on performance and business needs Valuable experience in enterprise governance, audit support, and operational risk management.
