Job
Overview Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Manager, Event Sales is responsible for
generating
new event bookings and revenue growth across iQ’s portfolio of premium event spaces. This role focuses on identifying, cultivating,
and converting new business opportunities – including
weddings, filming, photography shoots, corporate events, and product launches.
Once a booking is secured, the Manager, Event Sales will introduce clients to the Manager, Events
& Venue
for seamless execution and delivery.
This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with strong client relationship skills, event industry knowledge, and a passion for creating unforgettable event experiences.
Success in this role will be measured by event revenue growth, client satisfaction, conversion rates, and repeat business generation.
Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
Sales & Prospecting
- Identify and pursue potential clients through inbound inquiries, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Generate new business opportunities by conducting outbound sales activities to grow and sustain a healthy pipeline of event leads.
- Manage the overall event sales pipeline to achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Conduct personalized site tours and highlight the unique features of iQ Offices’ event spaces.
Client Consultation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, understanding their vision, requirements, and event objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on space selection, layout, and event flow to support sales conversion.
- Coordinate closely with clients throughout the sales process to ensure a premium and consistent experience prior to handoff to the Event & Venue Manager for planning and execution.
Proposal & Contract Management
- Prepare customized proposals, event packages and detailed cost estimates.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract details to align with both client needs and business objectives.
- Ensure all agreements, permits, and insurance requirements are in place prior to handoff.
- Once the event contract is signed and the deposit received, transition all details to the Event & Venue Manager for seamless planning and execution.
Logistics & Operations Coordination
- Collaborate with the Manager, Event & Venues, Operations, and to ensure flawless event delivery.
- Communicate all client requirements and setup details accurately and promptly.
- Conduct walkthroughs before key events to ensure readiness and address any last-minute adjustments.
Relationship Building & Brand Representation
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and industry professionals.
- Represent iQ Offices as a brand ambassador, ensuring all external communications and client interactions reflect our premium positioning.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and promotional showcases to represent iQ and generate leads.
- Follow up post-event to gather feedback and identify opportunities for repeat business.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate records of leads, bookings, and revenue performance in HubSpot.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to leadership.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improved efficiency.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices to inform future strategy.
Strategic Growth & Innovation
- Identify new revenue streams, event formats, and partnership opportunities aligned with iQ’s brand and business strategy.
- Provide feedback and insights to leadership to help shape future offerings, packages, and pricing.
