About the Role
Reporting to the Accountant, the Full-Cycle Bookkeeper owns the day-to-day accounting cycle for a multi-entity consumer goods business. This is a hands-on role for someone who can run the books independently through to trial balance and works well with a small, collaborative team.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable Process the full AP cycle: invoice entry, coding, approval routing, and payment runs Manage AR including invoicing, collections follow-up, and application of receipts Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve billing and payment discrepancies Maintain vendor and customer master records
Reconciliation & General Ledger
Perform daily reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis Prepare and post routine journal entries Maintain accurate and complete general ledger records Payroll Process bi-weekly payroll end-to-end, ensuring compliance with Ontario ESA and CRA requirements Prepare and submit payroll remittances Issue Records of Employment and prepare annual T4s Maintain employee payroll records and process changes Compliance & Reporting Prepare monthly HST/GST filings Close the books to trial balance on a monthly basis and provide supporting schedules to the Accountant Assist with year-end file preparation and provide documentation to external auditors Maintain organized, retrievable financial records and documentation Collaboration Work with the admin and sales teams to resolve order, invoicing, and customer account issues Identify and suggest improvements to existing accounting processes Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience Proficiency with QuickBooks Online Demonstrated payroll processing experience, including CRA remittances and T4 preparation Working knowledge of HST/GST filing requirements Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize across competing deadlines Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team Preferred College diploma or certificate in accounting, business, or a related field Exposure to e-commerce operations Experience supporting a multi-entity environment Employment Details Job type: Full-time, permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday, Location: Yonge/Sheppard. This is a full-time in-person role Language: English required Benefits: Extended health care, dental care, life insurance, paid time off, on-site parking Compensation: $65,000 – $72,000

About the Role
