About the role

Your Opportunity:

Provides administrative support to the Site Manager RAH, Medical Staff and all departments within the laboratory. Duties performed include, but are not limited to coordinating information, typing of minutes; responsible for mail and records management; scheduling and tracking of appointments and room bookings, Scheduling pathology rounds, onboarding new pathologists; handles accounts payables and receivables; maintains and orders supplies for the laboratory; Responsible for the time entry in payroll system, for various departments. The incumbent is expected to provide coverage when the other administrative assistant absent.

As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 High School diploma with a Medical Secretarial Certificate from a recognized training school and at least 2 years related work experience required. Experience managing an office is required. Equivalent training and related experience will be considered. Must have thorough knowledge of and ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.). Medical terminology required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with pathways program for pathologist workload, Experience with arranging teams meetings, and experience completing meeting minutes.
