Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, BC, responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations for exterior architectural mouldings and wall cladding systems. This role includes planning and coordinating production schedules, managing workflows, and ensuring products meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The Production Manager will supervise and support production staff, allocate resources, and address operational issues to maintain smooth plant operations. They will collaborate with management, Customer Service, and R&D teams to implement process improvements, support new product development, and meet customer delivery commitments. The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

Strong production and operations management skills, including scheduling, workflow optimization, and resource allocation. Experience in manufacturing or construction-related environments, preferably in architectural mouldings, building materials, or similar industries. Knowledge of quality control, safety standards, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., lean manufacturing, 5S, or similar). Leadership and team management abilities, including training, performance supervision, and conflict resolution. Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners. Comfort with using production-related software, basic MS Office tools, and manufacturing reporting systems. Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience will be considered. Understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. Ability to work on-site in Richmond, BC and occasionally adapt to changing production demands.
