This is a hybrid position (4 days per week in office and 1 day remote).
This opportunity is based out of the North York location at 243 Consumers Rd, North York, ON M2J 4W8 (near Hwy. 404 and Hwy. 401).

As part of our BI, AI and Data team, we are hiring a BI Specialist, a net new role focused on raising the quality, consistency, and trust of reporting and self-service analytics across the organization. This role sits at the heart of our BI function and defines the standards that everything else builds on.
In this role, you will:

Establish BI Standards and Quality

- Define and enforce development standards across Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Set a clear quality baseline for production ready reports and datasets
- Review and assess existing reports to improve consistency and reliability

Enable Trusted Reporting and Metrics

- Build and maintain a governed report and metric catalog
- Standardize metric definitions across the business
- Implement peer review and sign off before reports are released
- Support structured retirement of low quality or unused reports

Upskill and Enable the BI Team

- Coach and mentor BI developers and analysts
- Run training sessions to raise technical depth and best practice adoption
- Act as a trusted reviewer and standards authority within the BI pod

Support Scalable Self-Service Analytics

- Establish a self-service framework built on trusted, governed assets
- Help balance flexibility for business users with strong governance
- Enable analytics to scale without sacrificing quality or credibility
What we're looking for:
- 6+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or reporting roles
- Deep hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Strong understanding of BI governance, standards, and quality frameworks
- Experience reviewing, mentoring, or upskilling analytics teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
- Experience enabling self service analytics is a strong asset
- Healthcare or enterprise analytics experience is an asset
