We're hiring a Powerplant Engineer for our Engine Technical Support Services Department. The role involves managing powerplants for our clients, including engine phase in and phase out, monitoring engine condition, records review and conducting maintenance forecasts. As a Powerplant Engineer, you'll provide support to our Clients, reporting to the Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support with engine deliveries, redeliveries, Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance to CAE’s Clients.
  • Liaising with CFM, IAE, Pratt& Whitney, Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell and otherOEM’s on resolution of technical issues • Engine Health Monitoring, performance & overview in coordination with OEMs
  • Review and implementation of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and other technical documentation
  • Identification and Implementation ofsolutionsto reliability issuesin conjunction with the client’s Reliability Department and OEMs
  • Comprehensive analyses to forecast engine lifecycle and determine asset value • Detailed Records Review, Status report development and management of OIL process
  • Coordinate and monitor Engines & APUs maintenance visits with the MRO (Maintenance Repair Organization) and with the asset Owners – Lessors, for any technical and economical (invoice reviews, claims, etc.) issues
  • Contribute to the client’s Reliability review for technical issues related to powerplant and relevant components
  • Liaison, reporting and follow up with clients on the services provided by CAE • Managing and executing various other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Engineering Degree or EASA Part 66 maintenance license

Skills & Experience

  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in an airworthiness/CAMO or fleet management role in an airline or MRO environment
  • Understanding of EASA Part M, Part CAMO and Part 145 regulation
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills with experience writing or reviewing technical instructions
  • Computer literate with strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and make decisions in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated and efficient either individually or as part of a team
  • Willing to travel when required
  • Flexible approach to work • Excellent communication skills with experience writing or reviewing technical instructions
  • Computer literate with strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and make decisions in a busy, fast-paced environment-3 years of related experience.
