Burnaby FC Coaching Opportunities
Burnaby FC is committed to providing a performance environment that fosters player growth, sportsmanship, and technical excellence. We are currently seeking dedicated professionals for the following positions:
Head Coach: BCSPL League Team
Location : Burnaby, BC
Position Type : Independent Contractor (Seasonal with potential for year-round engagement)
Compensation: Fixed monthly stipend for the duration of the season.
About the BCSPL Program at Burnaby FC
The BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) is the highest level of youth soccer in British Columbia. Burnaby FC is a proud National Youth License Holder, offering a standards-based, performance pathway. Our program is designed to prepare players for post-secondary, professional, and national team opportunities through a professional, player-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Plan and deliver team training sessions (3 times per week) and manage match-day operations.
- Player Development: Execute seasonal team periodization and create Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for every player.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Burnaby FC Technical Staff to ensure alignment with the club’s tactical identity and methodology.
- Evaluation: Provide consistent, objective written and verbal feedback to players and parents throughout the season as per Burnaby FC Player Feedback processes.
- Internal Scouting: Support the club’s intake and player identification initiatives to continually provide play-up opportunities for BFC players.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certification: Canada Soccer B Diploma License (or holds a C-Diploma and are actively working towards/enrolled on the B-Diploma).
- Experience: (Preferred) Minimum 3+ years coaching in a high-performance or standards-based environment.
- Alignment: Willing to work within a Technical Team and in alignment with Burnaby FC Technical plan.
- Requirements: Valid Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
- Available to travel for league games.
- Respect in Sport
