About the role
As part of the Finance team at JOEY Restaurant Group, you will play a key role in supporting the financial health and performance of our restaurants and corporate operations. This role is responsible formaintaining accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal processes, and partnering with leaders across the business to ensure clarity, accountability, and operational excellence.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, high-performing environment where attention to detail, ownership, and continuous improvement are valued — and where your work directly supports the growth of our teams and brands. This is an in-office role based in Vancouver, BC.
Annual Compensation Range
$60,000 – $70,000 / year
The salary range is dependent on skill and work experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and report weekly financial results and period-end financial statements with accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile central and unit bank accounts, ensuring consistency across entitie
- Maintain and reconcile gift card accounts and related transactions
- Complete balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and driving resolution
- Support the completion and accuracy of intercompany adjustments
- Partner with restaurant leaders to respond to financial and operational inquiries, providing clear and timely support
- Prepare and assist in the completion of year-end working papers and support corporate tax filings
- Contribute to the year-end external financial statement audit process
- Prepare and submit government remittances, including GST, PST, HST, and Excise Tax
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical capability
- Currently enrolled in, or willing to enroll in, the CPA Program
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Experience in hospitality or multi-unit operations is considered an asset
