About the role

We are seeking a business-oriented Consultant with dealership retail experience to support our Automotive OEM clients. This role is focused on improving operational performance, strengthening relationships between OEMs and their dealer networks, and supporting initiatives that enhance process excellence. The Consultant will leverage practical retail dealership knowledge and collaborate closely with client stakeholders to identify challenges, design strategies, and implement programs that drive measurable business results.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Improvement

  • Partner with OEM and dealer leadership to identify operational inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Assess dealership processes in sales, service, and customer experience to recommend practical, scalable solutions.
  • Support deployment of best practices across the dealer network to ensure consistency and alignment with OEM objectives.

Program Delivery

  • Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives, including workshops, training sessions, and on-site advisory.
  • Create supporting materials such as reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate progress and results effectively.
  • Track initiative performance using defined KPIs, providing structured follow-up and recommendations for adjustment.
  • Onsite matching OEM in office days. Currently Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday with remote Thursday and Friday. Subject to change.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to client executives and field staff, fostering strong long-term relationships.
  • Facilitate alignment across cross-functional teams (sales, operations, marketing, and customer experience).
  • Support change management activities to ensure adoption of new processes, tools, and strategies.

Continuous Development

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving customer expectations in the automotive sector.
  • Contribute insights and feedback to internal teams to strengthen consulting methodologies and client offerings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3–5+ years of consulting or relevant industry experience, ideally within the automotive/OEM environment.
  • Direct dealership retail experience (sales, service, or fixed operations) strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dealership operations and retail performance drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Superior ability to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, high energy, drive, and a sense of urgency.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to stand, walk, sit, speak, hear, see and use hands to handle objects.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience in dealership retail operations, with a focus on improving performance and customer experience.
  • Experience leading dealership or retail improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with automotive KPIs, customer satisfaction metrics, and operational benchmarks.
  • Background in training program design and delivery.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
