Kinesiologist / Manager of Clinic Services – Niagara Falls, ON
Our clients are at the heart of what we do. The Manager of Clinic Services is a Kinesiologist accountable for creating a clinic environment that exemplifies CBI Health purpose, values and client promise. Reporting to the Area Manager, the Manager of Clinic Services is responsible for effectively coaching, mentoring, and engaging clinical and non-clinical team members while building and deepening partnerships in the community and maintaining a clinical caseload. The Manager of Clinic Services leads the clinic in delivering outstanding client experience and consistently leads and executes effective and efficient clinical programs, ensuring successful attainment of clinical excellence and associated business outcomes.
Take a look at what you’ll do each day
- Foster and support clinic team with engagement in the community of local physicians and funders (WCB, Auto Insurance Adjusters and LTD); developing and nurturing relationships with stakeholders and organizations that refer patients to CBI Health
- Provide input into clinic business decisions, service delivery models and developmental opportunities for team members that align with key strategic goals
- Coach, mentor, develop and performance manage team members through consistent use of PPD process, ensuring all team members understand their key accountabilities, perform to the expected level and have access to training and development resources
- Take an active role in onboarding activities of clinical and non-clinical team members to enhance creating a talent-rich and high-performing team with a focus on excellence in client experience
- Provide access to care through service provision (clinical) or contribute towards client experience and business initiatives of the clinic or the local area clinics (non-clinical)
- Set and deliver on clinic goals that align with the key strategic priorities and implement service delivery models
- Monitor client care and outcomes through file reviews with clinical team and review of clinical practice indicators; ensure compliance to client data collection
- Lead the administrative team in schedule management to drive timely access to services and schedule discipline
- Provide strong leadership through effective people management and engagement activities that create an environment which draws and retains high-performing talent who live the values of CBI Health
- Deliver on service excellence by leading initiatives and ongoing attention to ensuring the clinic meets expected access and consistency of service delivery standards for all clinical services, while ensuring the team has the tools and training to deliver the best clinical outcomes
- Organize resources to solve problems and make tough decisions, while functioning independently as well as part of a team
- Treat MVA, LTD, WSIB and private patients in a gym setting
- Work under the direction of the Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist in matters regarding treatment, progression of treatment and management of the client
- Design and implement a therapeutic exercise program to meet the identified client needs
- Complete employer assessments such as Physical Demands Analysis (PDA), Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) and Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE) to confirm job capability of essential job demands
- Prepare progress and discharge reports delegated by the treating clinician
- Assist the treating clinician with return to work planning
- Ensure the gym area is presentable, organized and free of obvious safety hazards
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful
- A university degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics
- Registration in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
- Experience in a private clinic/rehab setting
- A results-oriented, adaptable, well organized approach with the ability to function independently
- Sound written and verbal communication and multi-tasking skills
- The ability to provide employee development and coaching
- Enthusiasm for furthering your clinical and leadership skills through additional training
