Wage: $22.66/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Overtime: Eligible after 44 hours/week (ESA)
Overview
Join Paladin Security, one of Canada’s most trusted and recognized names in professional security. We’re looking for a highly organized and experienced Security Dispatch (SOC) Operator to oversee and coordinate after-hours operations at a major Government of Ontario office in downtown Toronto.
This position is ideal for experienced professionals with strong leadership, multitasking, and emergency response skills who thrive in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the dispatch and communication of field security and operations personnel.
- Monitor access control, CCTV, and life safety systems to ensure site security and respond to alerts.
- Maintain real-time logs of incidents, calls, and daily activities.
- Respond to emergency situations, contacting emergency services as needed and directing personnel accordingly.
- Operate and monitor two-way radios and phone systems for timely response to calls.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to security operations and follow up on reported incidents.
- Review security footage and access control data for incident investigations.
- Support and guide on-site security personnel, assigning patrols, coordinating coverage, and overseeing shift duties.
- Communicate professionally with contractors, tenants, and building management teams.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial or government security environment, in roles of increasing responsibility.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.

Strong understanding of control centre operations, CCTV, and life safety systems.

Excellent customer service, communication, and decision-making skills.

Emergency response experience is an asset.

Must have:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License
-
Standard First Aid & CPR – Level C (approved provider)

Full COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses)

Legal authorization to work full-time in Canada
Technical Skills
- Proficient with Windows-based systems (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Accurate and efficient data entry and keyboarding.
- Experience using access control, CCTV, and fire/life safety systems.
- Basic understanding of building operations systems (HVAC, elevators, sprinklers, etc.).
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a dispatch or control centre environment.
- Additional certifications in Use of Force (UoF) or Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
- Formal training in building systems or emergency management.
