About the role
This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
As the Director of People & Culture Consulting at ATB Financial, you will be a pivotal leader, shaping the strategic direction of talent initiatives while spearheading the execution of consulting services across various client sectors and the enterprise. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, offering strategic insights to enhance talent management practices, foster leadership excellence, drive organizational development, and ultimately, deliver tangible business outcomes. We are seeking a visionary individual with a deep understanding of consulting methodologies, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering impactful projects.
Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of consultants responsible for executing annual P&C cyclical activities and specialized talent initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal Centers of Excellence (COEs) to design and deliver bespoke P&C programs tailored to client needs.
- Harness data and insights to identify opportunities for organizational improvement and provide strategic guidance to leadership teams.
- Act as the primary liaison between COEs and program leads, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance consulting services.
- Identify opportunities for expanding client engagements and contribute to business growth strategies.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing consulting team to deliver exceptional results.
- Drive business development efforts by developing proposals, participating in client presentations, and contributing to overall strategy.
Skills, experience & requirements
- Proficient in project management, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skilled in change management, with the ability to identify gaps and ensure robust plans before implementation.
- Strategic and systems thinker, adept at analyzing complex systems and understanding their interconnectedness.
- Influential communicator with advisory skills, capable of promoting consistency while adapting to local needs.
- Data-driven critical thinker who can proactively identify client needs and formulate actionable recommendations.
- Strong facilitator with experience leading group processes and learning offerings in diverse environments.
- Proven expertise in employee and labor relations, coupled with strong business acumen.
- Ability to connect P&C activities to business strategy and goals, translating them into tangible value.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, cultivating trust-based relationships to drive business outcomes.
- Collaborative leader known for building diverse teams and communicating a unified vision.
- Committed to team development and continuous learning in a dynamic work environment.
- Background in Human Resources, strategy, consulting, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Accreditation
- Prosci certification or equivalent in Change Management is considered an asset.
