The Ministry of Social Services, Income Assistance division has an opportunity for multiple Program Analysts, who are dynamic, results-oriented, accountable and organized, to join the Strategic Initiatives and Continuous Improvement branch. Reporting to the Manager of Business Improvement, you will support the Ministry by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, including improving and developing programs, services, projects, and initiatives that foster client independence.
In this role, you will:

Have knowledge of current Income Assistance programs including the Saskatchewan Income Support and Saskatchewan Assured Income for Disability programs including operational policies and practices;

Contribute to business transformation initiatives through experience working in or knowledge of government projects;
-
Complete research and analysis to inform decision making about program and service design improvements;
-
Have experience identifying technology requirements from business processes;
-
As part of a team, complete system testing and identify defects;
-
Develop and apply change management processes, practices and strategies to support effective adoption of changes;
-
Support training efforts;
and
-
Contribute to continuous improvement of Income Assistance programs.

- Be results-oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a continuously changing environment;
- Have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
- Have the ability to understand and respond to multiple demands while maintaining solid working relationships with colleagues and partners; and
- Work with a diverse group of individuals resulting in collaboration to meet goals and objectives while maintaining a healthy, productive, respectful and safe work environment that is free of discrimination.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of current Income Assistance programs, operational policies and practices. You will have knowledge of and experience in business improvement initiatives and have demonstrated initiative within previous work responsibilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work across divisions and organizations to achieve results and meet timelines are critical. Change management along with program and service design experience and knowledge is required.
Typically, knowledge and abilities required for this position would be obtained through work experience combined with post-secondary education in the Human Services, Public Policy, etc. area.
