About the role
The Washington Corporations HCM Functional Analyst will work as an HRIS team member and be responsible for supporting and enhancing our Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs, providing functional solutions, and ensuring the efficient operation of the HCM system.
Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
What you'll do
System Maintenance and Support:
- In conjunction with the HRIS team, provide day-to-day functional support for Oracle HCM system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to Oracle HCM applications.
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and data integrity checks.
Functional Development:
- Design, develop, and implement custom solutions and enhancements within the Oracle HCM framework.
- Create and maintain functional documentation for custom developments.
- Develop and modify Oracle HCM reports.
Business Analysis and Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for system changes and enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solutions.
- Provide guidance and training to end-users on system functionalities and best practices.
- Troubleshoot with other teammates to resolve complex or unfamiliar issues.
Project Management:
- Participate in and manage aspects of Oracle HCM enhancements and upgrades.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing for new enhancements and upgrades.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation with the Oracle HCM system.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Oracle HCM technology trends and best practices.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performance and user experience.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, and/or 5+ years combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a functional analyst in Oracle HCM.
- Prefer prior participation or leadership on implementation of a module or the Oracle HCM platform.
- Prefer knowledge across multiple modules; extensive knowledge of Benefits is an asset.
- Proficiency in Oracle HCM Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) HCM modules.
- Experience with Oracle HCM data models, fast formulas, integration tools, and reporting tools (BI Publishers, OTBI) is an asset.
- Knowledge of Oracle HCM security and user management is an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into functional solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot functional issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Able to remain connected to the HRIS team by proactively reaching out, monitoring chat streams, and reporting out on task progress
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
