Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr UX Designer-AI Design (Figma AI, Claude, Copilot). This contractual position involves leading the design of engaging digital experiences within a dynamic business banking environment. The successful candidate will transform complex problems into intuitive designs, collaborating closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure user-centred outcomes.
Pay rate range (CAD): $71.88/hr – $86.25/hr
Responsibilities
Transform complex business problems into elegant, user-friendly experiences Develop ideas, concepts, and innovative interaction designs through sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and storyboards Collaborate with development teams to ensure design accuracy and achievement of intent Advocate for the user throughout all phases of the project lifecycle Stay current with industry trends, methodologies, and best practices in digital design Participate in user research activities, including observational studies and usability testing Communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationales effectively to diverse audiences Maintain meticulous documentation, version control, and decision logs Support the strategic approach to experience design for various projects and initiatives
Desired Skill-Set
Minimum of 5 years of UX design experience, with a solid portfolio demonstrating user-centred design solutions Expertise in Figma with at least 5 years of practical use Proven ability to present design work confidently to non-design stakeholders (product managers, SMEs, business leaders) Strong skills in translating complex flows into simplified, engaging customer experiences Ability to synthesize feedback, navigate ambiguity, and manage conflicting priorities efficiently Excellent organizational skills—documenting, versioning, and tracking decisions accurately Knowledge of how digital experiences support banking value chains such as acquisition, engagement, advice, and retention Experience leveraging research, analytics, heuristics, or prior insights to inform design decisions Familiarity with AI tools like Figma AI and Claude Design is a plus
Nice to Have
Experience with Copilot or similar AI-assisted design tools
